1 Year Anniversary!!!!

Hi all! Today 27th February 2014 marked my 1 year post Rhinoplasty. I think my nose is pretty well healed by this i year mark. I don’t feel quite so protective about it anymore like I used to which means it feels almost like a normal nose.  All swelling except the tip is swollen still a bit. Somedays it feels more swollen than others, but it's barely noticeable. To me I think it should be smaller, but when I try to picture it... Any smaller and it wouldn't look right on me. Either way. I have quite a bit of sensitivity there but At this point, I don’t know know if, and don’t think, it will ever go away. The weather has been ridiculously hot and I can feel that my nose gets swollen from it. I remember last winter how amazing my nose was looking from the cold weather, so I am looking VERY forward to cold weather and hope it this heat wave goes away soon. The inside of my nose is usually dry. What bothers me is the asymmetry-if I'm gonna have a bump. Last week i had an appointment with Dr. KG Mathew, ENT, at KIMS hospital and he inquired about this swollen tip. Till then i was thinking that no one gonna notice it!!! Why this tip is is so swollen??? I googled, it  says its because of my thick skin, and some doctors advising steroid injections to reduce it. Hmmm lemme discuss that with my surgeon.... at this point i don’t think its necessary cuz i love the tip, i love my nose my nose... i don’t think it could be prettier than now it’s looking now. i love all the procedures which i came through!! I miss those old 10 days which i have spent at specialist’s hospital, miss my doctors and staffs!!!!

Now the present scenario, i have two stories to share, First off, I caught the worst cold ever, which turned into a sinus infection. I felt like the first week after surgery, lots of pressure and couldn't breathe at all through my nose. How frustrating! I ended up getting anti-biotics . I now finally feel better. Second, my ENT doctor, Dr. KG Mathew found i have a tiny bit sense oriental hearing loss on my both ears, he advised me to do check-up again after 6 months to find out its rate of loss.

I will say this for those of you considering rhinoplasty, or who have just undergone surgery, this is one of the best things i've done and i don't regret it one bit!! i'm SUPER happy with the results and feel much more confident and happy with things overall. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Jayakumar. I'm proof that the service is quality (according to my orthognathic surgeon)high-end, and well worth every coin.
